7Day testimonials

For many years, I was a committed Seventh-day Adventist (SDA). My faith was built on worshiping on Saturday, keeping the Sabbath, and preserving the Old Testament law. I believed this was the true mark of God's faithful people.
However, my understanding completely changed when I began to study the Bible for myself, from Genesis to Revelation. I wasn't just looking for arguments; I was looking for the core story of salvation. Here is what I found in Scripture that led me to a different place:The Early Church's Decision on Law-Keeping:
I read in Acts 15 about the very first church council in Jerusalem. The apostles and elders had to decide if Gentile believers needed to follow the Old Testament Law, including circumcision, to be saved. Their decision, led by the Holy Spirit, was clear: we are "saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus" (Acts 15:11), not by the burden of the Law. They imposed only a few necessary things, but notably, Sabbath-keeping was not commanded for Gentile believers. This showed me that from the beginning, the unity of the body of Christ (Jew and Gentile) was built on grace in Jesus, not on maintaining the Mosaic law.
The New Testament's Teaching on Holy Days and the Sabbath:
I read the apostles' letters and saw a consistent theme:
Colossians 2:16-17 directly says: "Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ." I realized the Sabbath was a shadow pointing to the reality, which is Jesus Christ and our rest in Him.
Romans 14:5-6 teaches: "One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind. Whoever regards one day as special does so to the Lord." The focus here is on conscience and doing everything "to the Lord," not on a universal command for a specific day.
